Momentum and Their Approach to Retail IT Pain Points
We covered earlier in a previous blog the challenges facing retail IT and why these problems are serious pain points in the retail industry. Conectrix is excited to introduce Momentum Telecom as our newest partner who is our go-to for meeting the problems facing retail IT today.
The first thing to consider about Momentum is that they differ from Ring Central, Vonage, and Fuse in that they go onsite to install the IT technology and they then train that site’s retail staff on how that particular technology works. Their very low turnover rate of 1% is a testament to this unique white-glove install.
A hands-on approach from the beginning is critical for retail IT, yet Momentum is the only one to do this. Bad installs make customers very unhappy, so their pre-sales approach uses a challenger’s sales model. Momentum asks as many questions as they can at the beginning to cover every detail or difficulty facing that specific retail location. Not only is this method designed to limit retail IT challenges, but an emergency team (CCS) can be deployed quickly and deal with any other onsite problems retail stores may face.
Momentum is also characterized by their turn key solution, or one provider offering all the solutions. Companies with multiple locations don’t want to work with multiple venders. Momentum being a “vendor manager” will really be a relief to retail clients. Retail IT requirements are always different, usually hybrids or CRM opportunities. Our partner has three different versions of contact centers, each outfitted for different retail setups: Broad Soft, Cisco, and NICE inContact.
Additionally, Momentum uses an SD-WAN box called Pep-Link which allows them to use their own private cloud for one physical location. Pep-Link also has a 4G and LTE back up in case of cloud failure. Our partner’s turn key solution also guarantees the necessary analog lines and voice services a potential retail client may need.
