A Brief Overview

In the cybersecurity realm, any business large or small is susceptible to being targeted by threat actors with malware and ransomware, which can take a company out of business before they know it. It can be as easy as someone from your parking lot or reception area logging onto the company’s Wi-Fi and hacking into your network. For this reason, following good cybersecurity protocols and having the best defense in place is an important task to take care of. As cybersecurity expenses for companies continue to go up, the time it takes to identify threats has increased as well. For these reasons, Conectrix has partnered with Vigilant, an organization that is dedicated to protecting companies from cyber threats.

What are the Dangers?

Ransomware attacks are occurring every 14 seconds and have even gone up 5000% over the last 2 months. On average, the cost of ransomware to mid-market level companies is between 2-5 million dollars. Ransomware is a type of malware that functions by encrypting the files of a user, and then demanding a ransom in exchange for access back to all of the company’s data or else the threat actor will release it. With a company shut down, it will generally cost 2-4 million dollars to get all data access back, then another 2-4 million dollars to prevent the threat actor from releasing your intellectual property. Threat actors know how to get around the standard AI firewalls because they can be sold and purchased on the black market allowing them to see what the firewalls can and can’t do. What’s more, even a company's vulnerabilities may be sold on the black market, exposing the weak points in their infrastructure.

How Vigilant comes in to Play

Although these statistics and information sounds daunting, it is never a good idea to make any decision out of fear. Vigilant is a knowledge-based company, not fear based, and their main goal is ultimately to keep companies in business. Vigilant is a very unique cybersecurity company that permanently cannot be bought or sold and has specific patents on their technology which no other business is capable of replicating. While usually it takes 99-191 days to discover a company’s network has been breached, Vigilant has a guarantee of no more than 4 hours to discover a threat has breached into a network. This is due to the ‘hunt team’ that Vigilant has in place. This team consists of real people, not just AI, who actively search your network for threats instead of just waiting to respond to one when it is already too late. The longer a threat actor stays in your environment, the more danger they can pose to your company. Vigilant has the capability to support any company regardless of size or what system is in place (cloud based, premise based).

Partnering with Vigilant comes with some great perks, listed here are just a few:

  • Effective security technology without spending a lot of money

  • Full vulnerability report every week to give an update on overview of the environment

  • 0 false positives

  • Security on multiple different levels to get a full range of visibility inside the network

  • Free security audit option so that your company can have a complete visual on your environment and can then decide on getting equipped with Vigilant’s technology

This is just a basic rundown of what Vigilant can do, and the role they can play in your company’s safety. If this information is new and scary to you or you are confused on what to do, it is best to first just ask yourself, “What am I fighting for?” Is it to make your company more efficient, to keep your organization in business, or maybe to recognize the value in cybersecurity. Whatever the case may be, Conectrix wants to be there to partner alongside your company and help get you connected to the best technology possible such as Vigilant.

Conectrix can connect your business Vigilant. For further questions about the benefits of cyber security, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
